Warranty Policy

Warranty Length

Your warranty depends on the age of the watch at the time of sale:

  • 1-year mechanical warranty for watches under 15 years old

  • 6-month mechanical warranty for watches 15 years and older

What’s Covered

Your warranty covers mechanical faults that stop the watch from operating correctly. Covered items include:

  • Movement failures

  • Power-reserve issues

  • Automatic winding problems

  • Calendar faults

  • Major accuracy issues outside normal tolerance for the reference

What’s Not Covered

Your warranty does not cover:

  • Servicing or routine maintenance

  • Regulation, lubrication, gasket replacement

  • Water damage

  • Misuse, drops, knocks, shock, rough handling

  • Magnetisation

  • Crown or tube damage from improper use

  • Wear to straps, buckles, bezels, crystals

  • Aftermarket parts or previous non-factory work

  • Age-related behaviour on older watches

  • Accuracy complaints within normal tolerance

  • Any issue caused after third-party intervention

Manufacturer Warranty

If the watch still has an active manufacturer warranty, that coverage takes priority. Our warranty applies only to issues not covered by the manufacturer.

Warranty Process

  1. Contact us with proof of purchase and details of the issue.

  2. We review the claim and arrange inspection through our watchmaker.

  3. If the issue is covered, repairs are completed at our cost.

  4. If it’s not covered, we provide a quote before any work starts.

Shipping

For approved warranty claims:

  • We cover shipping both ways for inspection and repair.

What Voids the Warranty

Your warranty becomes void if:

  • The watch is opened or worked on by anyone other than our watchmaker

  • Water damage is present

  • Aftermarket parts are fitted

  • Serial or movement numbers are altered or removed

Our Commitment

We inspect every watch to a high standard before sale. This warranty reflects the confidence we have in our process and the reputation Wrist Works is known for in the Australian pre-owned watch market.
